CPD looking for missing man

The Columbia Police Department says they are looking for an adult man who left a local hospital at approximately 4 a.m. Friday morning. Officials say 42-year-old Douglas Vaughn was reported missing by his family. Police say due to his medical condition, his family is concerned for his safety and well-being.

Fort Jackson soldier injured in training dies

file Ft. Jackson, S.C. (WOLO)–Fort Jackson officials say an 18-year-old soldier died after being injured during training. Officials say the soldier from California suffered a fatal injury yesterday while training at a rifle range. A base spokesperson says an investigation into the soldier’s death is underway. DHEC releases updated COVID 19 case numbers for SC

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)–Friday afternoon DHEC announced 953 new confirmed cases of COVID 19. According to the agency, of the more than 7,000 test results reported Thursday 13.2% were positive.
