Mitchell & Wilson Preseason All-Americans

Recognition continues to pour in for South Carolina womenโ€™s basketball with senior guard Tiffany Mitchell and sophomore forward Aโ€™ja Wilson capturing Preseason All-America honors from the Associated Press today. Mitchell was a first-team selection, while Wilson earned honorable mention status. The Gamecocks officially open the 2015-16 season this Fri., Nov. 13, against No. 6/10 Ohio State. Tipoff at Colonial Life Arena is set for 7 p.m. with a. ceremony commemorating the 2014-15 season beginning at 6:45 p.m.

Coaches tab South Carolina 2016 champion

South Carolina was predicted to win the 2016 Southeastern Conference women's basketball championship in a vote of the league's coaches. This is the second consecutive season the coaches have positioned the Gamecocks at the top of the league.
