Clemson Baseball Edges CSU 3-1

Freshman lefthanders Matthew Crownover and Zack Erwin along with sophomore righty Kyle Schnell, all first-year Tigers, combined to allow just five hits, one unearned run, and no walks with four strikeouts to lead Clemson to a 3-1 win over Charleston Southern at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Wednesday afternoon. The Tigers, who improved to 17-0 all-time against Charleston Southern, upped their record to 10-5 on the season. The Buccaneers fell to 8-10 in 2013.

Hopkins Satisfied With NFL Decision

DeAndre Hopkins set a Clemson record with 1,407 yards receiving and an Atlantic Coast Conference mark with 18 touchdowns. He said Wednesday he believed he'd done all he could in college and was ready to move on, despite what others thought.

Clemson Rowing Off To Good Start

The Clemson women’s rowing team finished first in three of five races on Saturday against Duke and Eastern Michigan on Lake Hartwell. Clemson’s 2nd Varsity 8+, 1st Varsity 4+ and Novice 8+ “A” each record first-place finishes to open the season.

Clemson Wins 6-3, Evens Up Rivalry Series

Seventh ranked South Carolina cut a five-run deficit down to a pair of runs heading into the ninth inning but Clemson added an unearned run in the top of the ninth and set down the Gamecocks in order in the bottom half to defeat the Gamecocks 6-3 in the Reedy River Rivalry contest at Fluor Field in front of a crowd of 7,125 fans. Carolina is now 7-2 with Clemson 6-3 on the year. The rubber game of the series is set for Sunday at Carolina Stadium.

Montgomery Gets Gamecocks Game 1 At Clemson

Sophomore left-hander Jordan Montgomery did not allow a batter to reach third base in eight scoreless innings of work and set a career-high with nine strikeouts as he combined with senior left-hander Tyler Webb for a three-hit shutout as seventh ranked South Carolina (7-1) defeated Clemson (5-3) 6-0 on Friday evening at Doug Kingsmore Stadium.

Tar Heels Top Tigers 68-59

Dexter Strickland tied his season high with 16 points and North Carolina reached the 20-win mark for the ninth straight season with a 68-59 victory over Clemson on Thursday night.

USC Baseball Game Scheduled for 4pm Saturday

The South Carolina-Albany baseball game is set for a single game scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday at Carolina Stadium. A doubleheader has been scheduled for Sunday beginning at Noon. Both games will be nine innings.

Clemson-Wright St. Opener Postponed

The Clemson vs. Wright State baseball game scheduled for Friday at 4:00 PM at Doug Kingsmore Stadium was postponed due to inclement weather. The two teams are now scheduled to open the three-game series with a doubleheader on Saturday starting at 1:00 PM. Both games will be nine-inning contests and there will be approximately 30 minutes in between the games.

Former Tiger Bowers Reportedly Arrested

Former Clemson Tiger and current Tampa Bay Buccaneers' defensive end Da'Quan Bowers was reportedly arrested at New York’s LaGuardia Airport on Monday morning for allegedly carrying an illegal handgun according to a report by NBCNewYork.com.

South Carolina F Geathers has knee scoped

Gamecocks coach Frank Martin said Tuesday that Geathers had undergone the procedure because the injury was not healing as expected. Geathers had hurt himself in July and was expected to need at least six months to recover.
