Michael Morin struck out Phil Pohl with two outs and the bases loaded in the ninth inning to preserve #6 North Carolina's 4-3 victory over #19 Clemson in front of 4,441 fans at Doug Kingsmore Stadium on Friday. The Tar Heels, who took a 1-0 lead in the series, improved to 11-2 overall and 1-0 in the ACC. The Tigers fell to 6-5 overall and 0-1 in ACC play. It was the Tigers' fourth one-run loss of the season, and they have lost their five games by a combined seven runs.

Virginia Tech point guard Erick Green scored 24 points as the Hokies went on a 9-0 run to take the lead late in the game and hung on to beat Clemson 68-63 on Thursday night in the first round of the ACC tournament.

Second ranked South Carolina pounded out 11 hits with a three-run homer from Adam Matthews as well as a solo homer from LB Dantzler, on the way to a 9-6 victory over 15th ranked Clemson on Saturday afternoon in front of a sold out crowd of 8,242 fans at Carolina Stadium.

Second ranked Carolina defeated 15th ranked Clemson 3-2 in extra innings Friday night in Charleston. Sean Sullivan and Connor Bright drove in the go-ahead and game-winning RBI in the top of the 11th. Evan Marzilli had an assist from center field and made the game-winning catch.
