The City of Columbia’s Parks and Recreation Department, along with Richland School District One, will offer a free GED program at the Booker Washington Heights Community Center.

The City of Columbia wants to make streets safer for pedestrians and cyclists. The city is seeking volunteers to help conduct traffic studies to better understand who uses the city’s roadways, streets and sidewalks.

You can get a free COVID-19 vaccine through Mayor Steve Benjamin’s “It’s YOUR Shot, Columbia” campaign. The next clinic is Wednesday at the Martin Luther King Jr. Park from 1-5 p.m. Anyone who gets vaccinated at this site will have a chance to enter to win two free round trip tickets from American Airlines and the Columbia Metropolitan Airport.
