Columbia Mayor Daniel J. Rickenmann is reacting to the death of an Irmo Firefighter who was killed Friday while fighting a multi alarm fire at an apartment complex.
The new mayor spoke about helping residents in all walks of life and all parts of Soda City.
Daniel Rickenmann is now officially the new mayor of Columbia, after being sworn in this afternoon.
The City of Columbia’s new leadership team will be sworn in early next year.
He will be sworn in on January 4th, but Rickenmann is ready to get to work.
Wednesday, a hand count audit was held on the Columbia runoff election. Results show no discrepancies, according to the Richland County Voter Registration and Election Office.
