It’s not just gas, the rising inflation in this country has Americans paying more for things like rent and food too. The Consumer Price Index is up more than 8%, which is worse than expected. President Joe Biden addressed rising costs earlier this afternoon.
Gasoline is closing in on $5 a gallon nationwide for the first time ever, according to AAA.
“I check other prices, but this is the cheapest. That’s why I come here,” said Columbia resident Ethel Commander.
It’s not just in the Midlands where gas prices are soaring, it’s from coast to coast. The national average is closing in on $5 a gallon.
