The City of Columbia is working with Richland School District One and the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Foundation for the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Honor the Dream Food Drive.
Harvest Hope Food Bank is asking for the community’s help as it struggles due to the ongoing supply chain issues. ABC Columbia’s Miya Payton has more on how the food bank is working to manage the shortage and late food deliveries.
“There’s probably 50 cars or so lined up,” Ballas said. “It was good to see that we’re bringing in food to help people that are in line.”

Some Midlands residents were able to get some much needed food on their tables today. Harvest Hope Food Bank made the donation as part of its new “Pantries of Hope” program.
