South Carolina Superintendent of Education Molly Spearman is canceling the face mask policy in schools. Masks will still be worn on the bus due to the federal requirement.
PSTA issues statement following Governor McMaster’s executive order on mask mandates
This afternoon, DHEC held a meeting where they emphasized the importance of kids wearing masks while they are in school. Officials say the goal is herd immunity, but in the meantime we need to protect those who have not been vaccinated yet and that means children.
