St. Patrick’s Day Kickoff welcomes return of annual event in colorful fashion

Tonight, the Five Points fountain will be dyed green as organizers get ready for the St. Pat’s event in two weeks. The event runs from 5-7 p.m. and is hosted by ABC Columbia’s own Tyler Ryan.
After a two year hiatus because for the COVID-19 pandemic, St. Pat’s in Five Points is back for it’s 40th anniversary! This afternoon, some big headliners taking the stage were announced.

An annual Midlands tradition is out of luck again this year. According to reports, St. Patrick’s Day in Five Points is once again cancelled due to concerns surrounding COVID-19. The festival was cancelled in 2020 for the same reason.
