Spartanburg, S.C. (WOLO)--Three more South Carolina schools are canceling their upcoming football seasons. Thursday the Southern Conference announced it will postpone all fall sports including football. The Citadel, Furman, and Wofford are all members of the southern conference.
Charleston Southern, USC Upstate, Winthrop and Presbyterian are the South Carolina schools affected by the decision.
That means all three majors in this year of COVID-19 will not have fans, and the silence figures to be most deafening at Augusta National when the Masters is played Nov. 12-15.
The decision now leaves three of the Power 5 conferences intent on playing, for now.
