Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says a woman is accused of a fatal stabbing at a Columbia motel this morning.
A local teenager has been found safe after she was reported missing more than a week ago, but Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott say she was out on a crime spree.
“Dale was one of those special individuals that always brightened your day,” Sheriff Lott said. He was always smiling and loved being a Sheriff’s Deputy. Dale was a good cop but a great person. We will never forget him.”

“We need safe places for our young people to go, have fun and do something to keep them busy,” said Sheriff Leon Lott of Richland County.
