Last year, the South Carolina Supreme Court struck down the Fetal Heartbeat Bill which outlawed abortion after six weeks of pregnancy.
Senate majority leader Shane Massey says he is focusing on three topics ahead of the start of the legislative session.
Now, the legislature can meet as a conference committee to come to a compromise or simply let the bill die until next session.
