The Lexington Co. Coroner’s Office released the identity of a woman killed in a house fire Saturday morning.
Police in Sumter say the victim of a Saturday morning shooting on Boulevard Rd. has died.
Investigators say Marc-Anthony Rickson Cantrell is accused in the death of Jared Ondrea who lived in a halfway house on Harper St. with Cantrell.
“This man’s lawlessness cost two young people their lives,” Sheriff Leon Lott said. “He should not have been on the streets in the first place. Another criminal, out on bond, terrorizing our community.”
Lexington PD say with the assistance of the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, J’Air Atkins was taken into custody overnight and is being held at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
The Lexington Co. Coroner’s office has identified remains recovered from Lake Murray on July 27th.
According to deputies this was an isolated incident and those involved know each other.
