Orangeburg Regional Medical Center is holding a vaccination event Wednesday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Anyone 18 and older who wants the vaccine, can get one. The vaccines will be distributed on a first come first serve basis at Calhoun County High School.

On October 21, 2020, the Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office says they were called to the Peay Ridge Community, along with the Fairfield County Coroner’s Office, where a hunter reported finding human remains. According to officials, DNA testing revealed that the body belonged to Kirk Anthony Hall, who had been reported missing from the same community on September 13, 2019.
