No "Eartha Kitt Day"....Yet

ORANGEBURG, S.C. (AP) _ A push to get the birthday of the later singer and actress Eartha Kitt recognized in the state where she was born has stalled in the Legislature.

Voter ID Bill Signed Into Law

With the stroke of a pen, a new Voter ID bill is now law. Wednesday, South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley signed the bill which requires voters to show a state or military photo identification card before voting.

Lawsuit for SC Disabled

A federal lawsuit accuses employees of South Carolina agencies and a nonprofit organization of conspiring to withdraw needed day health services from severely disabled adults and instead send them to work activity centers funded with taxpayer money.
