SC House could pay for review of college spending

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — The chairman of the House budget-writing committee is looking to hire a national consultant to evaluate spending by South Carolina's public colleges and find savings that can reduce tuition.

Columbia, SC (WOLO)-It was a tense morning for two northeast Columbia schools, who had to be placed on lockdown following a shooting. Richland County deputies say around 11:30 this morning, two people entered a home on Brookfield Road. Investigators say one man was shot during the incident, his condition is unknown at this time.
