Clemson defensive players Stephone Anthony, Vic Beasley and Grady Jarrett have been named to the 2014 Bednarik Award Watch List. The award is given each year to the top defensive player in the nation by the Maxwell Football Club of Pennsylvania.

Rosters released for 2014 SC Pro Am

The rosters have been released for the 2014 SC Pro AM that begins July 10th at Heathwood High School. The basketball event features a number of players from Division One and Division Two schools in South Carolina.

Martin Qualifies For British Open

USC and Clemson to meet at Flour Field through 2018

Clemson Memorial Stadium has been ranked as the number-one college football stadium in the ACC by Athlon Sports. The publication solicited a ranking from 12 beat media members from ACC schools and Clemson received nine of the 12 first-place votes to win the poll by a large margin.

Parker Makes MLB Debut

Former Tiger outfielder and quarterback Kyle Parker was called up to the majors for the first time with the Colorado Rockies on Monday. After starting for the Colorado Springs SkySox (AAA) on Monday afternoon in Colorado, he was pulled from the game and told he was being called up to the major league club.

Kyle Parker Gets Big League Call

Former Tiger outfielder and quarterback Kyle Parker was called up to the majors for the first time with the Colorado Rockies on Monday. If he plays in a game with the Rockies, he becomes the 51st Tiger in history and sixth in 2014 to play in a major league game. The Rockies begin a three-game series at the Los Angeles Dodgers on Monday night.

Rivals Combine For Special Teams Camp

This summer college rivals will join forces for a special cause. And for special teams. USC's Spencer Lanning and Clemson's Chandler Catanzaro will hold a special teams camp in Greenville July 12th. Proceeds will benefit Epworth Children's Home and ClemsonLIFE.

Gossett Goes To Oakland 65th Overall

Junior righthander Daniel Gossett (Lyman, S.C.) was selected in the second round (No. 65 overall pick) by the Oakland Athletics on Thursday night. Gossett was the first Tiger drafted by the Athletics since 2012 (Phil Pohl).

The Ducks, who moved into the winners’ bracket, improved to 43-18, while the Tigers, who fell into the losers’ bracket, dropped to 36-24 in the first-ever meeting between the two schools.

Sammy Watkins Signs With Bills

The Buffalo Bills signed first-round pick Sammy Watkins to his rookie contract Wednesday. The Bills announced the signing shortly after the team's first session of organized team activities. Buffalo moved up five spots in the draft in a trade with Cleveland to select Clemson's Watkins fourth overall. The 6-foot-1, 211-pound wideout is known for his explosive playmaking abilities and his speed and good hands. Buffalo is counting on Watkins to immediately step into the starting lineup for a team that has not been to the playoffs since 1999, the NFL's longest current drought.

Gossett A Golden Spikes Award Semifinalist

Junior righthander Daniel Gossett (Lyman, S.C.) was one of 21 semifinalists for the Golden Spikes Award, announced Tuesday by USA Baseball. The award, won by former Tiger Khalil Greene in 2002, is presented annually to the top amateur baseball player in the country.

Tigers Eliminated From ACC Tournament

Dusty Isaacs and Sam Clay limited Clemson to four hits in Georgia Tech’s 3-0 win Friday afternoon in the ACC Tournament at NewBridge Bank Park. The Yellow Jackets (35-25) improved to 3-1 in the ACC Tourney, while the Tigers (36-23) fell to 2-1 in the tournament.

Tigers Top Miami In Walkoff Win

Senior Steve Wilkerson hit a walkoff single in the ninth inning to score Tyler Slaton, giving Clemson a 3-2 win over No. 3 Miami (Fla.) in the ACC Tournament at NewBridge Bank Park on Thursday night. The Tigers (36-22) improved to 2-0 in the ACC Tournament, while the Hurricanes (40-17) fell to 0-2 in the tourney.
