Several reported tornadoes are leaving a path of destruction in Oklahoma and Texas. The severe weather system is on the move heading toward the east coast. At least five states are under flood watches and warnings.
Tuesday night’s damaging winds, tornadoes and flooding didn’t just wreck the Carolinas, but much of the south. At least two have been killed, and now the northeast is being impacted.
At least two people were killed in Tuesday’s storms, one in Texas and another in Georgia. Thousands of people were left without power.
Here in South Carolina, police say cleanup is now underway in Allendale County, after a tornado destroyed buildings and brought down trees and power lines.
The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for parts of South Carolina and Georgia until 9 p.m.
