Lawson Named Co-Defensive Lineman of Week

Clemson defensive lineman Shaq Lawson was named Co-Defensive Lineman of the Week by the ACC for his play in Clemson’s 41-10 win over Appalachian State last Saturday. Tyrique Jarrett of Pittsburgh was also honored for his play in Pittsburgh’s victory at Akron.

Clemson in Ninth Place after First Day of Cougar Classic

Clemson freshmen Alice Hewson and Laura Stephenson led the way for Clemson in its season opening round at the Powerade Cougar Classic at Yeamans Hall in Charleston, S.C. Hewson fired a one-under-par 71 and Stephenson an even par 72 to lead Clemson to a tie for ninth in the 20 team field after 18 holes.

Clemson Finishes Second at Carpet Classic

Austin Langdale fired a three-under-par 69 and joined teammate Stephen Behr with a second-place finish individually to lead Clemson to a second-place team finish a the Carpet Capital Collegiate Classic in Dalton, Ga on Sunday. Langdale and Behr finished with scores of 213 for the 54 holes, just one shot behind medalist Jacob Joiner of Georgia Tech.

The No. 8 Clemson women’s soccer team forced a scoreless draw (0-0) against South Florida on Sunday Sept. 13, 2015. Both teams now have a record of 6-0-1 for the 2015 season.

Williams Injures Neck, Taken To Hospital

Clemson receiver Mike Williams suffered a neck injury as he hit a padded goalpost while scoring a touchdown in the first quarter vs. Wofford today. He was moving extremities and was taken to Oconee Hospital in Seneca. We will have an update after the game.

Lexington Native Joining Clemson Golf

Eighth ranked South Carolina fell 2-1 to 23rd ranked Clemson on Friday night at Riggs Field in women’s soccer action. The Gamecocks are now 2-1-0 on the year, while the win lifted the Tigers to 2-0 for the season.

Reader Takes Time Away From Tigers

Clemson head football coach Dabo Swinney announced Tuesday D.J. Reader will be taking an indefinite leave of absence from the team. The senior was listed as a starting defensive tackle and was one of the two players Swinney took to the ACC's preseason media event this summer.
