Gamecocks to host NCAA Tournament in Charlotte if eligible

The Gamecock women's basketball team has been granted a waiver by the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Committee to host the 2019 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament First & Second Rounds in Charlotte, should the Gamecocks receive a top-16 seed in the tournament, Athletics Director Ray Tanner announced today.

Gamecock pitcher Sawyer Bridges named to Stopper of the Year watch list

Junior pitcher Sawyer Bridges has been named to the 2019 NCBWA Stopper of the Year Watch List, it was announced this afternoon (Monday, Feb. 11). Bridges is one of 75 relievers on the initial list, which is given to the top relief pitcher in NCAA Division I baseball.

Panthers re-sign safety Eric Reid

The Carolina Panthers announced Monday that the team has re-signed safety Eric Reid to a 3-year contract. He is now under contract with Carolina through the 2021 season.
