Lexington Police says all lanes of North Church Street at Butler Street have reopened after the Town of Lexington's Utilities Department completed an emergency water repair.
The SC Department of Public Health (DPH) has confirmed a second winter storm-related death that happened over the previous weekend, according to officials.
A West Columbia man has been sentenced to more than six years in federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, said the DOJ.
"The folks who are unhoused in this cold weather, they need a place to stay. They need to get out of this cold. It can be lethal to them if they stay out. Some of these folks are not in great health, so when they spend the night on the sidewalk shivering.
