Thornwell, Dozier reunite in SC Pro-Am Tuesday

Day two of the South Carolina Pro-Am brought two Gamecock basketball greats back to Columbia. PJ Dozier and Sindarius Thornwell each participated in games this evening with Dozier suiting up for team Chick-Fil-A and Thornwell for Hood Construction.

The Fireflies snapped their losing streak with a solid dose of offense on Saturday night. Jose Medina and Ronny Mauricio were the catalysts and combined for five hits in Columbia’s 6-3 win over Greenville. The Fireflies can split the series with a victory on Sunday afternoon.

Shane Lowry builds 4-shot lead in British Open

The cheers grew louder and Shane Lowry kept getting better Saturday in the British Open. He walked off the Dunluce Links with an 8-under 63, the 54-hole record at the British Open and a four-shot lead over Tommy Fleetwood.

Three Tigers make Cut at The Open Championship

Lucas Glover, Kyle Stanley and Doc Redman all made the cut for the final two rounds of The Open Championship at the Dunluce Links at  Royal Portrush in Portrush, Northern Ireland on Friday.
