No. 15 Gamecocks fall to No. 8 UCLA, 4-3

The South Carolina women's tennis team fell, 4-3, in a hard-fought battle to UCLA in the first round of the ITA National Team Indoor Championship on Friday evening at the Seattle Tennis Center.

Collier's double-double highlights road win over Wake Forest

Taking advantage of a second-quarter turnaround, the Clemson Tigers (15-8, 6-4) tallied an emphatic, 69-53, road victory over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons (10-13, 1-9) on Thursday. The Tigers improve to 6-4 in ACC play, the most conference wins for Clemson since the 2003-04 campaign.

Gamecock softball splits pair to open season

No. 9 South Carolina split a pair of games against BYU and No. 18 Baylor to open the 2019 season on Thursday at Nancy Almarez Stadium. The Gamecocks won the 1,500th game in program history in a 4-3 win over BYU to start the day before dropping a 4-1 contest to the Lady Bears. 

Davidson named to Golden Spikes Award watch list

Junior shortstop Logan Davidson (Charlotte, N.C.) was one of 55 players named to the Golden Spikes Award preseason watch list on Thursday. The award is presented each year by USA Baseball to the national player-of-the-year. The two-time All-ACC Academic selection has 27 doubles, 27 homers, 87 RBIs, 116 runs and 20 steals in his first two seasons as a Tiger.

Clemson adds two Wednesday, finalizing 2019 signing class

After signing 27 new members of the Clemson Family during the early signing period in December, an additional two future student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent on Wednesday to play football at Clemson. Information on the team’s signees from Wednesday is included below.
