Dawn Staley named USA Basketball National Coach of the Year

In recognition of her leadership of the gold medal winning 2018 USA Basketball Women's World Cup and 2018 USA Basketball Women's National teams, Dawn Staley (South Carolina) today was announced as the 2018 USA Basketball National Coach of the Year.  

Clemson's Trevor Lawrence named finalist for Manning Award

The Manning Award, presented by the Allstate Sugar Bowl, announced today that Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence has been named a finalist for the 2018 Manning Award, presented annually to the nation's top collegiate quarterback, including bowl performances.

Lexington's Olivia Thompson to play for Dawn Staley, USC

Gamecock head women’s basketball coach Dawn Staley announced that Olivia Thompson (Lexington, S.C./Lexington) has submitted her enrollment deposit to attend the University and will play for the Gamecocks. Thompson will have four years of eligibility beginning with the 2019-20 academic year.

Dabo Swinney named ACC Coach of the Year

Clemson’s Dabo Swinney has been selected as the 2018 Atlantic Coast Conference Football Coach of the Year following the Tigers’ unbeaten regular season and fourth consecutive Atlantic Division title.
