Morgan's Gem, Five Homers Helps Baseball Sweep Utah Valley

Senior Chris Cullen belted two of the University of South Carolina baseball team's five home runs while Reid Morgan pitched eight innings, allowing only one earned run, as the Gamecocks completed a three-game sweep of Utah Valley with a 10-3 win on Sunday afternoon at Founders Park.

Campbell leads Gamecocks to walk-off win over Utah Valley

Sophomore Noah Campbell took a 2-2 pitch over the wall in right field for a two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth as the University of South Carolina baseball team walked off Utah Valley, 6-5, Saturday afternoon (Feb. 23) at Founders Park. Campbell helped the Gamecocks win their second game of the year in walk-off fashion.

Gamecocks Stay Perfect At Home In Win Over Youngstown State

No. 14 South Carolina softball used an eight-run fifth earning to earn its fifth-run rule win in its last six games in a 10-1 victory over Youngstown State on Saturday at Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field. Jana Johns blasted a three-run home run, her third of the year, to end the contest via run rule with two outs in the bottom of the fifth.

Drotar named SEC Player of the Week

For her efforts in the team's four games over the weekend, South Carolina softball's Cayla Drotar has been named SEC Player of the Week, the conference office announced today. Drotar posted a team-best 12 RBI at the plate and went 2-0 in the circle to help the Gamecocks sweep the Gamecock Invitational.

South Carolina softball used a four-home run performance with 15 hits to propel itself to a 16-7 win in five innings over Campbell on Saturday night at Carolina Stadium at Beckham Field. Cayla Drotar tied the school record for RBI in a game with eight as she blasted two home runs, including a grand slam, to help lift the Gamecocks to victory.
