Clemson adds two Wednesday, finalizing 2019 signing class

After signing 27 new members of the Clemson Family during the early signing period in December, an additional two future student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent on Wednesday to play football at Clemson. Information on the team’s signees from Wednesday is included below.

Gamecocks Come From Behind to Take Down Arkansas

No. 16/18 South Carolina women's basketball came from behind to defeat Arkansas 87-79 on the road Thursday night. The Gamecocks (16-5, 8-1 SEC) got career performances from freshmen Destanni Henderson and Victaria Saxton, and Alexis Jennings added a double-double in just 23 minutes as a total of five Gamecocks scored in double figures.

SC State's Leonard named AP Defensive Rookie of the Year

The second-round pick out of South Carolina State is The Associated Press 2018 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. Leonard, who led the Colts in tackles with a franchise-record 163, added 13 in a playoff victory over Houston, and made the All-Pro team.

Julius Peppers announces retirement from NFL

Peppers ranks fourth in NFL history with 159.5 sacks, including a franchise-record 97 in Carolina. With 11 interceptions, he is the only player in league history to record both 150 sacks and 10 interceptions.

Clemson falls to No. 5 Notre Dame, 101-63

Jennings’ double-double lifts No. 16 Gamecocks over No. 19 Kentucky
