Richland School District Two will hold a recruitment fair for all positions on June 28 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at their building located on Fashion Drive.
Despite the annual Juneteenth parade in Columbia being canceled due to rain, organizers are still encouraging the community to celebrate through education.
"The more individuals that do talk about it, the more who are educated about it, the more likelihood it will lead to... hopefully... a cure one day in the future for those living with sickle cell disease," says Malerie Hartsell with DHEC.
In observance of World Sickle Cell Day, the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control is providing information and the resources available for individuals living with the disease.
