South Carolina gets $47M to amp up minority vaccine efforts

South Carolina is getting a $47 million boost to its COVID-19 vaccination programs, particularly in minority communities. The $47 million award announced Tuesday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is intended to shore up local efforts to expand vaccine deployment.

DHEC: SC ranked in the top tier for vaccine doses administered by state

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control says the transition into phase 1c this week is going smoothly, and they owe it all to their vaccine providers. South Carolina is now ranked in the top tier nationally by the CDC for the amount of doses administered in the country.
