After loss to Bama, Frank Martin believes Gamecocks still have shot at NCAA Tournament

After losing to Alabama, the Gamecocks are now off the bubble in ESPN's Bracketology, meaning if the season ended today, USC would not make the NCAA Tournament. Fortunately for the Gamecocks, there are three more games left to play, plus an SEC Tournament, so Frank Martin doesn't want anyone rushing to conclusions after Tuesday night's loss to the Tide.

FAMdemonium Set for NCAA Selection Show

Gamecock women's basketball invites fans to FAMdemonium at The Zone at Williams-Brice Stadium to watch the NCAA Tournament Selection Show on Mon., March 18. Doors will open at 5 p.m. for the event, which features dinner, a photo booth and an autograph session ahead of the Selection Show airing at 7 p.m.

Cooke named finalist for Naismith Player of the Year

Gamecock women's basketball signee Zia Cooke was named a national finalist for the Jersey Mike's Naismith High School Girls' Player of the Year Award, announced by the Atlanta Tipoff Club today.

Frank Martin and the Gamecocks have five games left (four in the regular season and at least one in the SEC Tournament) to prove to the NCAA Tournament committee they belong in March's Big Dance. Right now, the Gamecocks are not projected in the field of 68, but Martin believes if his guys take care of the last four regular season games, USC will be just fine.

USC's Jana Johns named Co-SEC Player of the Week

For her efforts in the four games over the past week, South Carolina softball's Jana Johns has been named Co-SEC Player of the Week, the conference office announced today. Johns shares the weekly honor with Arkansas' Danielle Gibson. 

Morgan's Gem, Five Homers Helps Baseball Sweep Utah Valley

Senior Chris Cullen belted two of the University of South Carolina baseball team's five home runs while Reid Morgan pitched eight innings, allowing only one earned run, as the Gamecocks completed a three-game sweep of Utah Valley with a 10-3 win on Sunday afternoon at Founders Park.

Campbell leads Gamecocks to walk-off win over Utah Valley

Sophomore Noah Campbell took a 2-2 pitch over the wall in right field for a two-run home run in the bottom of the ninth as the University of South Carolina baseball team walked off Utah Valley, 6-5, Saturday afternoon (Feb. 23) at Founders Park. Campbell helped the Gamecocks win their second game of the year in walk-off fashion.

Gamecocks Stay Perfect At Home In Win Over Youngstown State

No. 14 South Carolina softball used an eight-run fifth earning to earn its fifth-run rule win in its last six games in a 10-1 victory over Youngstown State on Saturday at Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham Field. Jana Johns blasted a three-run home run, her third of the year, to end the contest via run rule with two outs in the bottom of the fifth.

Former University of South Carolina defensive lineman John Abraham and former Gamecock women's basketball coach Nancy Wilson highlight the seven-member class of the 2019 South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame, it was announced today.

Expected weather forces changes to softball tournament in Charlotte

Due to expected inclement weather in the Charlotte area during the Charlotte First Pitch Classic, No. 14 South Carolina softball will face Youngstown State at Carolina Softball Stadium at Beckham on Saturday. First pitch is set for 2:00 p.m. ET with free admission to the public. 

Spurs Up Tour dates and locations announced

The Gamecock Club is excited to announce the 2019 "Spurs Up" tour, featuring University of South Carolina head football coach Will Muschamp. The Gamecock Club, along with Coach Muschamp, will visit a total of nine locations this spring in an effort to bring the ultimate fan experience to your front door.
