Carolina’s Sam Darnold finished 17 of 41 for 207 yards with one touchdown and two turnovers and nearly pulled off a wild comeback, bringing Carolina back from an 11-point fourth-quarter deficit to force overtime.

Benedict upsets Miles for first time since 2010

Freshman quarterback Zavien Foster made his collegiate debut on Saturday, and helped guide the Benedict Tigers to a 24-21 victory over the two-time defending SIAC champion Miles Golden Bears.

Fields’ day: No. 3 Ohio State routs No. 2 Clemson 49-28

Trevor Lawrence was 33 for 48 for 400 yards and three total touchdowns in what is expected to be the junior’s final college game. His final pass was intercepted, but Clemson (10-2) went 34-2 in his starts and won a national title when he was a freshman.

Walker wins first NFL start as Panthers blank Lions 20-0

Walker threw for 258 yards and a touchdown in his first NFL start Sunday and the much-maligned Carolina defense earned its first shutout since 2015. The Panthers snapped a five-game losing streak with a 20-0 win over the Detroit Lions.

No. 20/21 Coastal Dominates Georgia State 51-0

The Chants improve to 6-0 to start the season for only the fourth time in school history while the six wins are the most in a single season in CCU's four-year FBS history.

Westwood High School reschedules two football games

On Monday, October 5, 2020, 12 student athletes were placed on quarantine for 14 days after the school was notified that an athlete from the opposing team at the October 3 football game tested positive for COVID-19.
